Wellington Firewood Supply

Firewood Supply in Wellington

Wellington winters call for a warm fire, and quality firewood starts with good timber. Our firewood supply in Wellington service makes use of wood from our tree removals, cutting and splitting it into manageable lengths for your fireplace or burner. Where available, we can supply hardwoods and other timber, and advise on seasoning so it burns cleanly. Dry, well-seasoned wood produces more heat, less smoke and fewer deposits in your chimney. Supply depends on current jobs and timber availability, so contact us to check what is on hand. We can also leave larger logs from removals for you to split yourself if you prefer. Using local timber is a practical, sustainable way to keep your home warm. Ask us for pricing and delivery options.

Timber From Tree Work

Good timber from tree work does not have to go to waste. We cut the logs from trees we remove into usable sizes, so wood that would otherwise be thrown away can be put to good use as firewood.

Ask About Species

Different timbers burn in different ways, and some are better than others for heating. Ask us what species we have available, and we will tell you what to expect from each, so you can choose what suits.

Seasoning Advice

Freshly cut wood is wet and burns poorly. We can explain how long different timber needs to dry before it is ready to burn, and how to stack and store it for the best results in your fire.

Leave It On Site

If we are removing a tree from your property, you may want to keep the wood. We can cut the logs and leave them on site, so you can use your own tree for your own fire.

Availability Varies

Firewood supply depends on the tree work we have on at the time, so what is available changes. Get in touch and ask what we have, and we will let you know straight away.

Delivery Options

Ask us what can be arranged for your area. Depending on volume and location, we may be able to deliver firewood, so contact us to talk through what you need and what we can do for you.
